Security Guard

1 position, part time (weekends and some weekdays). Conduct regular rounds to ensure building systems are operating properly; identify and report maintenance problems with the building, grounds and equipment; respond to alarms, emergencies, loiterers and patron problems; monitor galleries and keep building and grounds free of litter. Deputy Director of Philanthropy

The Yellowstone Art Museum (YAM) seeks a dynamic, outgoing, hardworking, experienced development professional who enjoys the unique beauties of Montana. The Deputy Director of Philanthropy (DDoP) will oversee the YAM’s Art Now! capital and endowment campaign, which was launched in 2006. The DDoP will work with the Executive Director to integrate this newly created position into the full scope of the YAM’s existing annual fund activities.

A bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience are required, as are exceptional communication skills (both oral and written), strong organizational abilities, diplomacy, excellent donor cultivation skills, and enthusiasm for the visual arts. An ability to work openly in a creative team environment is essential. Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. This is a fulltime, exempt position. It is available immediately, and will remain open until filled. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The mission of the Yellowstone Art Museum is to exhibit, interpret, and collect art, with an emphasis on Montana and surrounding regions, for the education, inspiration, and enjoyment of all. The YAM opened in 1964 in the former Yellowstone County Jail, and an expanded 37,000-sq.-ft. museum opened in 1998. The Museum offers as many as twelve temporary exhibitions annually, and its acclaimed art education program serves Montana and northern Wyoming. Billings is Montana’s largest city with a population of over 100,000. The YAM serves 45,000 people annually through on-site and outreach programming.
